Delete Your Account
We are sorry to see you go. If you would like to delete your GetALife account and all associated data, you have two options.
Option 1: Delete Directly in the App
Open the GetALife app and navigate to:
Profile → Delete Account
Follow the on-screen instructions to confirm the deletion. Your account will be removed immediately.
Option 2: Request Deletion via the Form Below
If you no longer have access to the app, you can request account deletion using the form at the bottom of this page. We will process your request within 30 days.
What Data Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently removed:
- Login credentials and profile - your authentication account, name, email, and profile photo
- Budgets and categories - all budget plans, category assignments, groups, and monthly targets
- Transactions and partners - all manually entered and synced transactions, recurring payments, and transaction partners
- Accounts and credit cards - all financial accounts, credit card tracking data, and balances
- Reports and analytics - monthly summaries, spending reports, and analytics data
- Connected bank accounts - all bank connections via Plaid will be disconnected
- Cloud-synced data - all data stored in our cloud services
- Local app data - all data stored on your device by the app
Important: Cancel Subscriptions First
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel active subscriptions. To avoid being charged after account deletion, please cancel your subscription first:
- Apple App Store: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → GetALife → Cancel
- Google Play Store: Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → GetALife → Cancel
Please Note
Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Once your account is deleted, your data cannot be recovered. If you wish to use GetALife again in the future, you will need to create a new account.
